  • Trinity St. Paul’s United Church: 42 minūšu pastaiga, vai 17 minūtes ar busu;
  • Koerner Hall: 32 minūšu pastaiga, vai 11 minūtes ar busu;
  • The Mattamy Athletic Center (Maple Leaf Gardens): 25 minūšu pastaiga, vai 15 minūtes ar busu;
  • Bluma Appel Theatre: 16 minūšu pastaiga, vai 12 minūtes ar busu;

Tiekamies Toronto!

The Song & Dance Festival is finally here! The weekend will be full of song and dance concerts, time with friends from near and far, and plenty of celebration. Here are some tips to consider as you arrive in Toronto:

It’s especially important during the festival to know when you have to be where. Guidebook is a free app that organizes the events by location and time. You can add events you’re attending to your calendar, and set up notifications to alert you a set time before the event. The app also shows when and where festival participants have to be for rehearsals. To get started, simply download Guidebook and search “XV Latvian Song and Dance Festival”, after which you can personalize your calendar.

The main hotel sits close to the coast of Lake Ontario, and is a short walk to some of the venues where festival events will be taking place. Below are travel times from the main hotel to each venue:

  • Trinity St. Paul’s United Church: 42 minute walk, or 17 minutes by bus;
  • Koerner Hall: 32 minute walk, or 11 minutes by bus;
  • The Mattamy Athletic Center (Maple Leaf Gardens): 25 minute walk, or 15 minutes by bus;
  • Bluma Appel Theatre: 16 minute walk, or 12 minutes by bus;
  • HartHouse: 24 minute walk, or 14 minutes by bus.

For further distances, you can catch a bus or tram that travel all over the city. A one-way ticket includes one transfer from one vehicle to another during one trip. Tickets are $3.25 (CAD) for adults, and $2.20 for seniors 65 and older, as well as for those under 19.
