Garezers (Three Rivers, MI)
Garezers will be celebrating Jāņi in Atbalsis on June 22nd, starting at 6:00pm. There will be pīrāgi, jāņu cheese, and dinner available for purchase. Chicago’s Mantinieki will play a music set, followed by a set by Latvian music group “Atkal Kopā”.
Entry is $25 for adults, $10 for kids aged 11-17, and free for kids 10 years and younger.
Piesaule (Braford, NH)
Piesaule will kick off Jāņi with a cocktail hour on Friday night. The festivities will continue into Saturday with dances and a dinner. Music groups Maldugunis and Papardzieds will perform. There will be a church service on Sunday morning.
Entry is $40, which includes a full dinner on Saturday night. Tent spaces are available for $20.
Priedaine (Freehold, NJ)
Priedaine will be hosting Jāņu festivities including folk dances and a concert on Saturday night. Guests are welcome beginning with 4:00pm, program starting at 6:30pm.
Entry is $40 for adults, $30 for New Jersey Latvian Center members and seniors, $15 for kids aged 15-18, and free for kids under 15. Tent spaces are available for $25.
West Coast Latvian Education Center (Shelton, WA)
The West Coast Latvian Education Center, home of the Kursa summer high school, will have dinner, a program, and dancing on Saturday night.
Suggested donations for entry are $20 per person, or $45 for the whole family. Dinner is available for $15 for adults, and $8 for kids under 12. Tent spaces are available for $20, and dorm rooms are available for $65 per room.
Tērvete (Greenville, Quebec)
Tērvete will be having a Jāņu celebration with a bonfire, singing, and a “Jāņu jūdze” on Saturday night.
Entry is $20 per person.
Sidrabene will be hosting traditional Jāņu activities as well as a cafe, an artisan fair, a swimming pool, and horse-drawn carriage rides. Daugaviņa and the cast of “Te Nu Mēs Esam” will be performing at the evening dance.
Entry is $30 for adults, $15 for students 19 and under, and free for kids 12 and under. Tent spaces and parking are free all weekend.
Klīvlande (Chardon, OH)
The Cleveland Latvian community is hosting Janu festivities with a bonfire, wreath making, and singing. Dinner and drinks are available with a donation.
Dievsēta (Warrens, WI) – June 22nd
Dievsēta will celebrate with singing, dancing, and dinner for all. Guests are encouraged to bring something for the dinner table (pīrāgi, Jāņu cheese, etc.) and to wear summer folk costumes or white linen shirts.
